Do your students know when to use c or k at the beginning of a word to spell the sound /k/? This resource will support students in applying this spelling tip.
Use one of these chants:
C takes a, o, and u! K takes the other two!
K takes i and e! C takes the other 3!
This set includes two versions of the same materials based on the cheer/checkpoints used to introduce the generalization. There will be materials for both versions of the chant.
The set includes a page to practice the handwriting form, two options for word reading practice, a page for spelling dictation, word cards, phoneme-grapheme mapping cards, controlled sentences, and two different levels of controlled text that use words applying the c or k generalization.
