Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator Course
The Orton-Gillingham Approach provides research-based practices for instruction and learning.
This approach is good for all learners but necessary for those with language-based learning differences. Why would we not include it in our classroom instruction? This is an engaging, interactive, and applicable course. Drawing from my classroom teaching experience in public, private, and homeschool educational settings, my goal is to provide a course that lays a strong foundation for teaching direct, explicit, systematic, and multisensory language and includes navigating these components within a small group or classroom.
This course fulfills all requirements set by Orton-Gillingham Academy for the Classroom Educator curriculum.
Content includes:
Reading acquisition in all learners and the nature and needs of the dyslexic learner
The Orton-Gillingham Approach and Rationale for Applying this Approach.
